COVID-19 Exposure Control/Mitigation Recovery Plan
Memphis J Ribic, known as Bellamia Artistry, is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all my visitors and clients.
To ensure I have a safe and healthy workplace, I have developed the following COVID-19 Exposure Control/Mitigation/Recovery Plan in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As the owner and only staff member, I am responsible for implementing this plan. Bellamia Artistry enforces the provisions of this policy.
Bellamia Artistry’s goal is to mitigate the potential for transmission of COVID-19 in my workplace and communities, and that requires full cooperation among my visitors and clients. Only through this cooperative effort can we all establish and maintain the safety and health of myself and my workplace.
Bellamia Artistry’s COVID-19 Preparedness Plan follows Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Washington Department of Health (WDH) guidelines, federal OSHA standards related to COVID-19 and Proclamation 20-25, and addresses:
Self-screening Symptom monitoring & incident reporting
Hygiene and respiratory etiquette
On and off location social distancing
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Reducing Physical Touch Points
Cleaning, disinfecting, and ventilation
COVID-19 safety training
Self-screening Symptoms, Monitoring & Incident Reporting
Exhibiting Signs & Symptoms of COVID-19
Clients and visitors have been informed of and encouraged to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. The following policies and procedures are being implemented to assess client’s health status prior to entering my studio and for clients to report when they are sick or experiencing symptoms.
Bellamia Artistry, as well as all clients and visitors will self-monitor their temperature at home. If we do not have a fever or are not experiencing known symptoms of COVID-19, we will proceed to the studio for appointments as scheduled.
If Bellamia Artistry is experiencing symptoms while at home, I will not come to work, and follow CDC guidelines for self-isolation until I am no longer symptomatic as well as contact my healthcare provider.
If I begin to experience symptoms or am sick while at work, I will notify the client in my chair and immediately stop working, go home or and leave as soon as possible. My work area will be cleaned and disinfected completely.
If I test positive, the entire business location will then be shut down for a minimum of 14 days and 24-48 hours prior to reopening proper disinfection and deep cleaning will be implemented. SEE BELOW.
Bellamia Artistry has also implemented a policy for informing clients if they have been exposed to COVID-19 through my workplace and recommend they quarantine and self-monitor.
Further directions and next steps include following published guidelines of the CDC regarding social distancing and self-isolating.
Handwashing
Bellamia Artistry has a full implementation of infection prevention measures in place. The washing of hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water will be frequently done throughout the day, but especially before and after each appointment, prior to any mealtimes and after using the restroom.
All clients and visitors to my studio will be required to wash or sanitize their hands immediately upon entering the facility. Hand-sanitizer dispensers (greater than 60% alcohol) are located at the entrance and in each treatment room of my studio so they can be used for hand hygiene in conjunction with soap and water.
Hygiene & Respiratory Etiquette: Cover your cough or sneeze
Customers and visitors are being instructed to cover their mouth and nose with their sleeve or a tissue when coughing or sneezing and to avoid touching their face, their mouth, nose and eyes, with their hands.
They will dispose of tissues in provided trash receptacles with lids and wash or sanitize their hands immediately afterward.
Respiratory etiquette will be demonstrated on posters and supported by making tissues and trash receptacles with lids available to clients and visitors.
Bellamia Artistry has a mandatory face mask wearing policy in place and requires all visitors and clients to wear one prior to entering the studio. Cloth and disposable masks only. The use of valved masks will not be permitted.
Signage giving direction for proper hand hygiene and sneeze etiquette will be posted throughout the studio.
On and off-Location Social Distancing
Beginning July 2020, signage and instructions will be posted at the entry door to the studio for both myself, clients and visitors about social distancing and signs of COVID-19.
Six feet of social distancing will be implemented and maintained between clients and visitors in the studio through the following ways:
Clients must remain in their vehicle and call or text when they have arrived for their appointment then wait for instructions to enter.
For purposes of safety and sanitation, no one else is allowed into the service room other than the Lash/Brow technician, and the person receiving the service.
Minimum of six-foot separation between myself and clients for interactions/consultations will be maintained at all times. This also applies to working on location such as weddings, TV/Film, and when working with multiple clients for services. I will only be working with one client at a time while other clients maintain a minimum of 6 feet of social distancing.
When strict physical distancing is not feasible for a specific task, other prevention measures will be required, such as use of barriers, and the wearing of face masks or face shields.
The waiting area will be restricted from use. All areas will be wiped down with disinfectant prior to and after each use.
Bellamia Artistry will utilize the use of remote meeting capabilities such as “Zoom” with clients for no-contact consultations to reduce the need to meet in person.
Cloth or disposable face masks being worn are required for anyone entering the studio, and are to be worn throughout the duration of their personal services. The use of valved masks will not be permitted in the studio.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Washington State requires that clients and service providers wear a mask throughout the duration of personal services.
Cloth or disposable only. The use of valved masks will not be permitted in the studio.
If a client/visitor shows up without a face mask, a disposable mask will be provided to them for $3 fee.
Bellamia Artistry will replace masks worn for services with either a freshly laundered cloth mask or a new disposable mask after each client.
A clean apron will be provided to clients to put over their clothing, and placed in a hamper after each use.
Bellamia Artistry will wear a clean smock for each client and placed in a hamper after each use.
Bellamia Artistry will wear disposable nitrile exam gloves and be discarded after each client.
Bellamia Artistry will wear safety glasses, prescription glasses or face shield in conjunction with a mask while performing personal services. Items will be disinfected thoroughly after each use.
Reducing Physical Touch Points
In order to limit cross-contamination upon entry, clients will be asked to put all personal items in a plastic bin and then wash your hands for 20 seconds before service begins.
No one will be allowed to sit in any of the chairs/waiting areas in the studio other than the lash/microblading bed in the treatment room.
Clients will be instructed to abstain from touching any items on the retail shelf. Service provider will grab any retail items for you.
