What is Lip Blushing?
What exactly is lip blushing?
Lip Blush tattoos enhance the natural shape of your lips, giving them that boost of vitality and even coloring. It provides a flush of color and the final result will resemble a subtle, matte, natural toned lipstick-look.
What shade of color will be used?
There a lot pigment options that can be used to customize the perfect color for your lips! We naturally have a cool undertone to our lips, which is why an orange base should be added to ensure our lips won’t turn odd colors. It is also important to know that the lips will fade quite a bit, so the initial color will seem quite darker, larger and crisper immediately after the procedure, but but will soften and shrink slightly over the weeks that it heals.
Together you I will find the perfect tone for you.
Do you over-line the lips to make them fuller?
Unfortunately, no. Lip Blushing should only be done in the natural line of the lips. Skin contains pores and hair, and a completely different texture than that of your lips. The end result would leave an even healing of the pigment which would not be cute.
Is lip tattooing painful?
Levels of discomfort vary with each individual’s pain threshold and sensitivity. To ensure maximum comfort during the procedure, a topical anesthetic (4-5% Lidocaine) will be applied before and during your treatment. Please note, if you are on your menstrual cycle you may be more sensitive to pain. Sleep, stress and caffeine can also play a factor in pain sensitivity.
Avoid alcohol, coffee/tea (even decaf), soda, and energy drinks 24-48 hours before your procedure.
How long do results last?
Pigments can fade over time naturally. Several factors affect the life of the implanted pigment are:
sun exposure
skin type
general health and immediate and long term aftercare
Results typically last 2-5 years or longer, before a touch-up is needed to refresh the color and shape. Frequent smokers or those with iron deficiency anemia may have results fade sooner.
